Connectors and Adapters formed the critical part in Optical Fiber interconnection. The most common kind of Connectors is the epoxy type. This connector requires the normal procedure in terminating it with the Optical Fiber. For Quick termination in the site, there is a Field Terminated connector which contains a pre-polishing ferrule with fiber inside. The technician requires to cleave a fiber and inserts it inside the Field Term connector along with a quick release tool. The termination takes only 2 minutes instead of the usual 20mins on traditional epoxy type connectors.
